Group Classes

We run in-person group classes every Sunday morning at Edinburgh Chess Club. There are two
sessions, tailored to different skill levels.

Available Classes

Pawns

Sunday: 9.30-10:30

For children who are completely new to chess or just beginning to learn the rules and basic strategies.

Sunday: 10:45-11:45

For children preparing for tournaments or already playing in them regularly.

Available Group Classes

Each class is led by Andrew Green, founder of Edinburgh Chess Academy and a chess master.


Every child receives some one-to-one time during the session to ensure they fully understand the material.

  • Class size: Maximum of 24 children

  • Cost: £6.50 per class

​

Parking is free on Sunday mornings outside of Edinburgh Chess Club, and there is usually ample space available nearby.
